My experience as a researcher and a foster carer

6th August 2014

Being a foster father is the most rewarding thing I have ever done but, at the same time, the most challenging. Similarly, being a postgraduate researcher is an equally emotive and challenging endeavour but, of course it is my role as daddy, carer, advocate and all round ‘dogs-body’ that will always come first.

Would you like to contribute as a guest blogger for the Rees Centre?

We’re looking for short pieces of 300-400 words on topics related to our research focus (foster care – with or without reference to education) that will provoke discussion amongst our readers.

This is your chance to voice your thoughts on what matters most to you in the field of foster care. Blogging for the Rees Centre is open to all with an interest in this field, and we particularly welcome contributions from care leavers, foster carers and practitioners. Submitting your post is easy – just contact us for a chat about your proposed topic. The Rees Centre reserves the right not to publish each and every blog entry it receives, depending on the volume of entries and the topics covered.
