Andrea holds the position of Administrator for the Rees Centre. She has worked in different departments at the University of Oxford since 1995. She held the position of Clinical Trial Administrator at the CTSU (Clinical Trials Service Unit) from 1995-1999, assisting in the organisation of a randomised clinical trial looking at the effects of low dose aspirin in hip fracture patients to prevent pulmonary embolism. She then moved on to become Departmental Administrator for the University’s newly built Rothermere American Institute, from 1999 – 2007. This Department aims to bring together all threads of American Studies within the University under one roof. After a short break at home with her two small children, she returned to work at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics as Executive Assistant to the Director of the Centre for Genomics and Global Health. She then moved to the Rees Centre in February 2013 to take up the position of Centre Administrator.

Andrea holds a BA from the University of Warwick in Comparative American Studies (1989-1992). She spent time living in the USA before starting work at Oxford.
