Improving the outcomes of children and young people in out of home care: practice and research-based strategies

This lecture-discussion focussed on what we have learned from our most skilled practitioners and landmark research studies about helping youth in care succeed in learning skills for living in the community and heal from the deprivations that resulted in their entering foster care.

Professor Peter Pecora is professor of Social Work at the University of Washington, Managing Director of Research Services, Casey Family Programs, Seattle. He has published extensively on fostering, child welfare and measuring outcomes.
